I’m Jonathan Hawley, a London-based personal trainer specialising in injury rehabilitation, strength development, and confidence building.

My passion for helping people rebuild their bodies and confidence comes from my own experiences. When I was younger, I played rugby to a high level, but after several severe concussions — including one that led to second-impact syndrome — everything changed. At one point, I had to relearn how to walk, run, and function normally. I spent time in and out of hospital, dealing with the fear and frustration of having to start again from scratch.

I know what it feels like to lose confidence in your body, to feel stuck, and to wonder if you’ll ever get back to where you were. That experience shaped my entire coaching philosophy.

Empathy-Led, Structure-Driven Coaching

My approach is built on understanding, patience, structure, and support. I’ve lived through the highs and lows of injury and recovery, and I bring that empathy into every session.

I studied at the University of Leeds, have a strong rugby and strength & conditioning background, and have been coaching for over six years. I also work with clients managing long-term conditions ranging from strokes to Parkinson’s to dystonia.

I work closely with clients living with disabilities, ranging from Parkinson’s and arthritis to dystonia and stroke recovery. I love this work. Training is always individual, encouraging, and built around what’s possible because a positive environment is where real progress happens.
